Auditions for STUART LITTLE

Auditions 3UPDATE: Due to the snow and closures throughout the state (AGAIN and AGAIN!), auditions for Stuart Little are postponed to Thursday, February 5. Anyone who can’t attend that date is asked to come on Tuesday, February 10, at 6 pm. Everyone who auditioned should plan to attend a first meeting and rehearsal on Tuesday, February 10, from 7 to 8 pm.

Series and Ages: Kids on Stage! (ages 8-14)

Description: This stage adaptation about a mouse born into an ordinary New York City family keeps all of the charm, wisdom, and joy of E.B. White’s original book. The many adventures—both big and small—of Stuart Little are brought to life as an ensemble cast plays many roles in the adventures of the mild-mannered mouse trying to survive in a “real people’s world.”

Audition Dates: Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27 (come one date only)

Audition Times: Beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Audition Place: NBYT at Holmes Elementary School, 2150 Stanley Street, New Britain (off Hartford Road (Route71) near West Farms Mall)

Audition Prep: Nothing required to prepare; group audition; introductory games; repeating lines or reading from the play; comfortable clothes recommended

Founded in 2010 as New Britain Youth Theater and selected by Connecticut Magazine as Connecticut’s Best Children’s Theater in 2017, No Boundaries Youth Theater is a professionally-run community and educational theater for children and teens. The name change in 2018 reflects that NBYT is—and always has been—a youth theater that accepts children from all towns and communities, with all abilities, and to be involved in a variety of ways both onstage and off. NBYT operates its programs in community spaces and schools throughout Greater New Britain, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
